Jillian and Eric were planning a Tuscan-themed wedding at Lilac Farms in Arrington, TN. As a referral from a former bride, Meghann Wright, I was excited to meet these two and talk flowers for their vineyard wedding. I couldn’t wait to share these beautiful images by Amber Smith of Smith Studios Photography.
Jillian envisioned lots of greens. With a dusty grey-blue wedding dress, she wanted to keep her floral palette neutral with beautiful white blooms and fragrant greens. She envisioned garlands on farm tables and lots of candlelight. We spent months sharing ideas and narrowing down the flowers she preferred and the style she envisioned.
Her bouquet was one of my more challenging projects this year. It was my first time working with an air plant (which was so much fun!) and the mechanics were a bit tougher than I envisioned. The end result weighed a TON, but looked incredible and I’m so proud of it. The bridesmaids’ effortless herbal bouquets were the perfect accent to the couple’s olive/vineyard theme.
The aisle markers were the perfect last minute addition and the garlands were so fragrant and earthy. We incorporated fresh herbs from their garden into the accent pieces that were placed on cocktail tables and spots of interest.
Congratulations Jillian and Eric! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day. To see more photographs from this beautiful event, visit Amber’s post here!
