Matt & Andrea’s Halloween wedding shower

We have been planning this for months and had a great time putting all the details together!  Our sweet friends Matt and Andrea are planning a New Year’s Eve wedding, and in keeping with the “holiday” feel of their celebration, we decided that a Halloween wedding shower would be perfect!  Clay and I co-hosted the shower with our friends Chris & Megan Saunders and Patrick Beeler & Mandie Thacker (soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Beeler!). 

We chose B.McNeels restaurant in downtown Murfreesboro as our venue for its great food and large downstairs dining space.  The restaurant catered the affair and we dined on delicious crabcake bites, BBQ shrimp, and their fantastic spinach artichoke dip.  A pony keg of Blue Moon rounded out our dietary selection!  🙂

Our dining tables were dressed with black linens, orange and black polka dot runners with orange gerbera daisies and black sparkly Halloween icons. 

And what’s a Halloween party without costumes!?  A race car driver, a firefighter and even Miley Cyrus made an appearance!  We had some wonderfully creative costumes and a great crowd! 

My sister Jena, Clay and I dressed as characters from Disney/Pixar’s “Up”.  Clay made a fantastic Mr. Fredrickson and Jen worked for hours painting the Fredricksons’ home, complete with curtained sails and balloons.  I dressed up as 8 yr. old Russell and had a blast making my Wilderness Explorer uniform! 

Sorry my snapshots aren’t the best!  The lighting was a bit dark but with the Halloween music piped in through the speaker system, it added to the ambiance of the event.  We had a great time and feel the event was an overall success!  A huge thanks to those who helped make it happen!  Couldn’t have done it without you!
