Jillian and Eric were planning a Tuscan-inspired wedding at Lilac Farms at Arrington Vineyard. As a referral from a former bride, I was excited to meet these two and talk flowers for their vineyard wedding. I couldn’t wait to share these beautiful images by Amber Smith of Smith Studios Photography.
Tuscan-inspired Wedding at Lilac Farms at Arrington Vineyard – Design inspiration
Jillian envisioned lots of greens. With a dusty grey-blue wedding dress, she wanted to keep her floral palette neutral with beautiful white blooms and fragrant greens. She envisioned garlands on farm tables and lots of candlelight. We spent months sharing ideas and narrowing down the flowers she preferred and the style she envisioned.
She wanted a large, show-stopping bouquet with loads of textured greenery. I used variegated tree vine, olive, plumosa, eucalyptus and pieris as the foundation and worked to highlight the pops of white blooms.
Her bouquet was one of my more challenging projects this year. It was my first time working with an air plant (which was so much fun and show-stopping!). The mechanics were a bit tougher than I envisioned. LOTS of wire was used to ensure that beauty held its place. The end result weighed a TON but looked incredible and I’m so proud of it. The bridesmaids’ effortless herbal bouquets were the perfect accent to the couple’s Tuscan-inspired theme.
The aisle markers were the perfect last minute addition and the garlands were so fragrant and earthy. I incorporated fresh herbs from their garden into the accent pieces placed on cocktail tables and spots of interest.
Congratulations Jillian and Eric! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your Tuscan-inspired wedding at Lilac Farms at Arrington Vineyard!
