Guess who is super behind on blog posts!? Believe me….this one is worth the wait!
A HUGE “thank you” to Krista Lee Photography for allowing us to share these photos!
Hilary Bauer and Robert Clayton’s wedding is most definitely one of my all-time favorite events! From super fun and quirky elements to beautiful vintage elegance, this wedding design was absolutely GORGEOUS. From sparkling pink Converse to her grandmother’s milkglass vases, this July bride incorporated her love of all things pink, vintage, crafty and baseball into her wedding design!
With both the ceremony and reception at Baird Chapel (the bride and groom’s alma mater), we needed a creative and time-saving way in which to arrange the seating for the guests. During the ceremony, the guests were seated in a half-moon arrangement around the round tables with candle votives atop solid ivory linens. When we transformed the room into the reception space, pink crinkle table runners and large floral centerpieces in vintage milkglass added some creative flair to the space. With added string lighting and the catering/cake added, the space looked ready for a party!
My sweet friend Megan and I were so excited to design Hilary’s bouquets, centerpieces and bouts. With David Austen garden roses, Akita roses, football mums, carnations and spray roses, we created some really beautiful centerpieces and gorgeous bouquets without blowing their budget.
I’ve mentioned before how much we LOVE to do florals, but who wouldn’t be proud of these bouquets!?
Robert, a college baseball coach and true “sport”, asked his groomsmen to wear his sweet bride’s favorite color: PINK!
The cakes, by Jenifer Goode of Lebanon, were INCREDIBLE! Okay, let me explain…I have tasted A LOT of wedding cake; some good, some bad terrible. Jenifer’s white cake with white buttercream icing was HANDS DOWN my favorite wedding cake of all time. I was fortunate enough to carry some home and seven days later, that cake was still moist and tasted just as it did on their wedding day. To top it off, her pricing was unbeatable. Believe me, you want this lady’s contact info!
At the end of the day, the guests left with locally made jams and preserves!
Robert and Hilary’s vendor line-up was full of incredible people/vendors and this post is not complete until we acknowledge those who made this event possible!
