I’ve held off on doing this post; not because I don’t want to (far from it!) but because, to date, it’s one of the most personal weddings I’ve worked/planned. Sometimes, an opportunity comes around to repay someone that you so desperately want to thank. They deserve to know how much their kindness has meant to you and sometimes a thank you note just doesn’t really cut it. This was my chance to say “thank you”.
My dad’s best friend, Randy (and his family), have been a part of our lives since I was little. Growing up in Greenville, MS, Lacey and I were fast friends and I have such fond memories with their family. Randy and my dad have stayed in touch over the years, helped each other through some really rough patches and are a great example of “lifelong friends”. Randy helped my parents move me….twice, helped my sister move into her new apartment and even worked for several weeks on the renovations of my 100 year old house! If we needed something, big or small, Randy would be there in a heartbeat.
So my story continues…when the time came for Lacey to plan her wedding, it was my turn to repay the favors! With vendor suggestions, floral design and orchestrating the big day, my family (’cause I made ’em ALL work!) and I were able to help make Lacey’s day all the she hoped for! I’m excited to share these images not only because she was a STUNNING bride, but because these two are such a sweet pair and a true testament to ‘love’. It was an honor to work with this sweet family!!

I THINK this goes without saying…Cody is a firefighter! 😉 Jena and I had such a fun time working with the floral needs for this wedding!

The reception, held at a restaurant in the historic downtown area, served delicious food and offered a quaint and intimate atmosphere for their friends and family. The cakes (wedding cake by The Bake Shoppe; groom’s cake by NashCake) were hits among the guests! (How AMAZING is that groom’s cake?!)
What a project! These centerpieces turned out beautifully, but we will forever laugh about our long night of construction!!!
A big “thanks” to Randy for all of his fishing lures… 🙂
The candy bar was another big hit! My mom, who was put in charge of replenishing the bar, said guests raved about its styling and delicious options!
Thank you Lacey, Cody and the Hardy & Johnson families for allowing the Boggs family to invade your special day! You let us crash in your home, tear up your basement with our floral construction site and let us eat wedding cake! 😉 We love you guys!
