This week has been pretty rough!  We spent the weekend out of town and I always find it hard to recoup or function Monday after being away.  I spent yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon and evening at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center with my sister in the ER.  Her blood sugar bottomed out and she blacked out, falling against the toilet and vanity.  Thankfully, I’m happy to report, she was discharged with clean scans/tests/screens.  Hopefully this was just a freak incident.

We were supposed to move this weekend and as I’m sure you can guess, we won’t be.  Although some of our final projects are getting completed, we still won’t have everything completed in order to begin the 1.5 mile trek across town with our ridiculous amounts of stuff.  DEEP SIGH.  Next weekend.  By gosh, we are moving next weekend.

I had the opportunity to meet with some lovely ladies at Marinas (YUM) for dinner and drinks tonight!  We met through the Boro Bridal Ball and I knew I was gonna like these chicks! =)  Becca, from Stones River Country Club is too sweet and was such a pleasure to be around!  I’m hoping to get a vendor highlight post up soon re: Becca and the Stones River Country Club.  Her friend Jessie, whom I met tonight for the first time, was also as sweet as she could be!  The two of them are from the Chattanooga area (yay!  East TN!) and are working on their wedding planner certification through TSU.  They have been friends forever!  Bianca, the youngest of the group, and her husband built (yes…built!) a photobooth and offer area-wide rentals for parties and weddings.  She is great fun to be around!  (Check back for a vendor highlight on Snap Happy PhotoBooths!!)  And of course by now, you all know about my super duper friend Amber.  As always, Amber is too much fun and her giggles are contagious!

One good thing about not moving this weekend means I’m free to help Amber stage an engagement shoot Saturday.  I’m pretty pumped about this opportunity and am looking forward to seeing the end result!  Clay will be working with a groom to pick out tuxes for his May nuptials but Sunday afternoon (I know, I know, Easter Sunday), we are back at the house, hopefully painting the kitchen….DEEP SIGH.  I can’t wait to get everything done and begin the exterior work and planning our Open House/Housewarming get-together!  I’m shooting for sometime this summer!

We are working hard getting our follow-up emails sent out and our thank you notes mailed to vendors and brides from the Boro Bridal Ball.  We are excited about our appointments and look forward to getting to know these lovely ladies!  Don’t forget that Saturday is the last day for Boro Bridal Ball participants to sign up for our joint promotion with Lotus Blossom Photography for incredible package deals!  The winners of our (2) $3oo KO gift certificate have been drawn and these lucky ladies will be notified tomorrow…fingers crossed!

I hope you all have a great Easter weekend!    ~ Emily
