I’m really excited to post this wedding!  A big thank you to Chris and Megan for allowing us to be a part of your big day!  Please note: the following photographs are a mixture of snapshots we took and some taken by the event photographers.  Credits are noted.  Without further ado….

Clay and I were given the opportunity to help/coordinate the October 24th wedding of Chris Saunders and Megan Stacey.  Megan and I used the term “rustic elegance” to describe the feel they envisioned for their big day.  They dreamed of fall flowers, hues of gold and brown with candelight in a rustic setting.  Rustic….yet, elegant!  This couple (who are also friends of ours!) was incredible to work with: excited, organized, grateful and genuinely in love with one another…our job was a breeze!

The couple was married in a small white church in College Grove, TN with a reception held at B. McNeels restaurant in downtown Murfreesboro.  The church was a perfect size for the guest list and was decorated tastefully with candelabras and fall flowers.  The bride and groom, who design custom slideshows, put together a fantastic collection of photographs to be played before the wedding ceremony began. (We will gladly pass along their contact information should anyone be in need of a slideshow for their wedding!!!)  Barbara (proprieter), Tiffany (manager) and the staff at B. McNeels cooked up a delicious menu!  This crew was great to work with and eager to ensure the reception went smoothly and that everyone was well-fed and happy!

Megan’s dress, purchased from the White Room in Lebanon, was detailed with beautiful beads and pearls in a trumpet silhouette; her mother, Pam, designed and created her veil!   Chris and the groomsmen wore brown suits and the bridesmaids wore dresses in brown and gold.  The paperie/stationary for the wedding was designed and created by Amy Kinslow, a sorority sister of the bride’s pursuing a degree in graphic design.

The flowers were lovely and truly enhanced the ambiance of the venues.  Lisa Atwood of Garden District Design helped Megan design her bouquet and arrangements for the venues.  Sunflowers, roses, calla lilies and colorful fall leaves were placed in vintage glass jars as table centerpieces.  On other tables, the couple used our dark brown garden lanterns accented with blossoms and leaves.  These same flowers and leaves were used in the bouquets carried by the bride and her maids and the bouts the men wore.

The wedding cake was baked by Chris’s grandmother and placed on a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted wooden base.  The piped detail was intricate and the gumpaste leaves added an extra touch.

The groom’s cake was created by Melanie Lane of Coffey Lane Pastries.  Designed in the shape of Chris’s fraternity badge, it was a big hit with his fraternity brothers!

The reception lasted late into the night, with drinks flowing, music playing and guests dancing will well past midnight!

As the celebration came to a close, the couple was sent on their way with sparklers and well-wishes.  The guests left the party with monogrammed koozies filled with candy corn and other autumn candy.
