I love when a mom wants to be involved with the wedding planning as a sounding board, but with the absolute conviction that the decisions are to be her daughter’s: the brides. A well oiled mother-daughter team can be such a blessing to a wedding professional and I was so lucky in this case to work with an incredible duo. Rene contacted me about her daughter’s wedding at Belle Meade Plantation, hoping we could work together to find some local vendors and design Ashly’s big day.
Ashly fell in love with the charm of Belle Meade Plantation and but for the use of colorful blooms and garden lanterns, the ceremony site needed very little additional decor. Her grandparents were to marry them and her nephew made for an adorable ring bearer.
With a plum and burnt orange palette, we worked with Visual Elements and Bright Events to set the scene inside the reception space. With added draping and beautiful crystal chandeliers, the carriage house was transformed for dining and dancing. Melissa Marie Floral Design created centerpieces in planter boxes and wicker-wrapped vases to enhance our summer garden party.

It was such a pleasure working with Emily of Kennedy Occasions!! Every question we had she was able to answer & every time I felt like freaking out over something she calmed me down very quickly!! I would highly recommend her!! There’s no way we could have pulled off my daughters dream wedding without her! Thanks so much Emily!! 🙂
