I could not ask for a more beautiful end to my 2015 wedding year than this: This couple. This bridal party. This family. Planning Laura and Tyler’s Green Door Gourmet wedding was such a treat.
Design Inspiration
From unique decor ideas to a a stunning color palette, these two pulled out all the stops and I have been so excited to share these images with you! We started with our venue: Green Door Gourmet, which you may remember from another really beautiful fall wedding. We incorporated vintage details, a blue-green bridesmaid’s dress and pops of fall colors while different textures were used to transform the open barn space into a romantic fall setting for this event. Tyler, as a crew member for the television show, Nashville, had LOTS of talented friends whose work on this event was so unique. From vintage finds to the hand-drawn guestbook print to the gourmet coffee setup, Laura and Tyler focused on incorporating exciting details, local talent and unexpected treats for their guests.
Recap of the day
Laura and Tyler stayed extremely focused on guest experience, which I love. From creature comforts to fun surprises, they wanted to ensure that their guests were well-fed, comfortable in the venue and excited to have a good time. The weather and lighting were perfect for a crisp, fall, day and we avoided the rain that threatened the ceremony. Laura’s bouquet, created by A Village of Flowers, was stunning. Full of beautiful fall blooms, the floral creations for this event rounded out the event design perfectly.
After a heartfelt, romantic ceremony outside, guests and our couple moved to cocktail hour, where appetizers were passed and a great beer and wine selection started the reception off on the right foot! And man, did this crew party! With lots of dance tunes, guests were on their feet All. Night. Long. When a local coffee shop set up their coffee bar outside, complete with Donut Den donuts, the crowd went wild! (And this wedding planner enjoyed more than one!) With a sparkler exit, these two lovebirds were sent off in style with smiles on their faces and surrounded by their closest friends and family.
