What. A. Wedding. These two threw one heck of a party for their guests. With 90% of Melissa & Lee’s guests coming from all over, they were excited to infuse a bit of Nashville into their event, which happened to be just about halfway for their families in Connecticut and Texas. With a beautiful early Spring color-palette, dramatic draping and thousands of beautiful blooms, this wedding was a show-stopper. You may have seen another wedding or two on the blog with imagery by Krista Lee Photography...This is another one of those events where her images tell the story and few words are needed…
I met with these sweethearts months before their event on a scouting trip to Nashville. They had selected Houston Station as their venue, Krista Lee Photography to document their day and were working through colors, style and other key players. Picking up from there, with a peach, gold and ivory color palette, we discussed how to bring the details and overall design together, starting with their attire.
My one floral requirement: Lee wanted to wear the ‘yellow rose of Texas’. Playing that into a peach and pink color palette was, at first, a bit challenging….but I loved how meaningful it was to this Texas native and feel like it paired well with some of the yellow tones I added to her bouquet below…
Melissa practically gave me free reign with the floral design and her bouquet is one of my favorite creations! This wedding was my first time to work with Mayesh, at the encouragement of my sweet friend Ashley Beyer, and I was astounded at the variety and quality that our rep, Lindsay, sent to me! From delicate sweet peas to stunning coral amaryllis, unwrapping every bunch was a beautiful surprise! Beautiful product = stunning arrangements, don’t you agree?!
With the attire, color palette and vendors selected, we moved into styling the event and working with Melissa was a dream. She wanted a spring, Southern garden party and we had so much fun! We talked on the phone for hours throwing out ideas and additions for the wedding day. She wanted to utilize draping and lighting to enhance the space and we kept the ceremony decor elegant, saving the dramatic tablescapes for the reception. Cheerful aisle markers, candlelight and a beautiful chandelier created a show-stopping ceremony space that could be utilized again to frame the sweetheart table. 
Beautiful garlands were draped down farm tables and planter boxes were filled to the brim with tulips, roses and other peach and pink flowers. With a room flip from ceremony to reception, guests were able to enjoy the draping and flowers all evening long.
After the ceremony, a cocktail bar was opened as well as Notable Blends coffee shop across from the venue space. Guests were encouraged to grab an appetizer, a cocktail or cup of coffee and relax before the party started! With the room flip completed and space opened up, Bacon and Caviar served up an outstanding meal and DJ Adam Warfield kicked things off with their first dance.
Well fed and with alcohol flowing, the guests jumped onto the dance floor! We were literally pushing people out the door at the end of the night! They would have stayed till the wee hours of the morning! 
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Bernhoft! You threw a party to remember and we enjoyed being a part of it!
